It was October 2nd and I decided to go to my Mom's house. I was looking at my brother's wedding pictures when I noticed that I was starting to get contractions, so I had my Mom start to time them. They were every five minutes!!! I decided to call my husband at work to come home. I called the hospital at about 11:30 PM to page the nurse midwives. Sandy called and I told her what was going on. She said "meet you at the hospital in a half hour", I got to the hospital around midnight. Sandy checked me and said I was 7cm. I then got to use the awesome tub for about one hour. I got out to labor a bit longer. I started pushing at around 2:00AM. I thought since this was my second baby that a couple of pushes and it would be here. I was very thankfully for the encouragement during pushing from Sandy, my husband, my mom and the nurses. Finally at 3:1 l AM, my brand new baby daughter came into the world! ! I thank the Lord for the new addition to our family.
