In Retrospect

I came into Gretchen Cohen's care in my 28th week of pregnancy, after a series of unsettling experiences with a local OB/GYN group. I found my visits to be comforting and my questions were always answered courteously. Gretchen's calm demeanor and matter of fact attitude impacted me most. It helped me to remain focused as my "due date" came and went. She reminded me that pregnancy is a natural process that will, in it owns time, end in the birth of a child. When that moment finally came, one week overdue, it was somewhat difficult and I feel a world of gratitude to Gretchen and the Family Birth Place nursing staff who were so wonderful. As my son's first birthday approaches, I find myself becoming anxious to experience the miracle again in the care of Family Nurse Midwife Associates.
