Women Who Smoke

Women who smoke cigarettes take longer to get pregnant than women who do not smoke.

Studies have found that women who smoke more than 16 cigarettes a day are 20% less likely to give birth within the first year of trying.  In the second and third years of trying, about twice as many who smoke did not give birth.  So if you are trying to get pregnant, stopping smoking can help your chances.
