When to Page the
Midwife
- Bleeding from
the vagina.
- Headache which
lasts longer then 24 hours.
- Vomiting which
lasts longer then 24 hours.
- Severe swelling
of the feet, ankles, or hands.
- Blurred vision,
spots before the eyes.
- Burning or
painful urination.
- Chills and
fever.
- Sharp continuous
pain in the abdomen.
- Sudden gush
or trickle of water from vagina.
- After 24 weeks,
baby doesn't move for over 8 hours or moves less then 10 times
in 10 hours.
- Pre-term labor:
Contractions or cramping occurring regularly 4 to 6 times per
hour and lasting 30 seconds or longer.
Over the Counter
Medications
- Tylenol is
ok.
- After 14 weeks,
Robitussin cough plain or DM.
- Neosynephrine
Nose Drops 1/4%
- NO Combination
cold medications like Contact.
- NO Nyquil
type medications.
- NO Aspirin
